Rain Harvesting
The Australian rain water tank market saw a tremendous growth over the last 5 years due primarily to the drought and the government rebates that were offered to incentivize people to start capturing the rain (primarily for irrigation).
Rainwater Harvesting is an ancient old practice. Environmentally conscious products for the home are becoming more popular in Australia as people begin to be part of the solution rather then the problem . .Modern urban dwellers (who can’t fit big tanks in their properties) want to start being environmentally conscious by collecting and storing their rainwater. Many of the traditional tank manufacturers who didn’t want to make small, slim line tanks in the past, are now trying to duplicate the rain water hog. While this may seem like a simple task to duplicate a plastic water tanks this is not so.
To date, no one has been able to replicate the HOG although many have tried. Those tanks that have been designed by other companies as modular slim line units, don’t have the versatility (to be installed vertically or horizontally) or lifespan (20 years +) of the Rain water HOG. These water tanks are sold all over the world including Australia, North America, the UK and Europe.
